NoteCard (the "App") is a note-taking application developed and operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how any collected information is handled.
1. Device Storage and Data Synchronization
By default, all memos, attached images, categories, and app settings you create are stored locally on your device. However, if you choose to use the "Sign in with Apple" feature, your note data (including text, image file paths, and categories) will be transmitted to and stored in a cloud database (Google Firebase Firestore) to enable real-time synchronization between your devices. This data is handled strictly within the scope of providing the sync service and troubleshooting technical issues. The developer will not review your content arbitrarily or disclose it to outside parties.
2. Information We Collect
The App collects the following information to provide services and improve application quality:
- Account and Authentication Data (When using Sign in with Apple): When you use Sign in with Apple, we collect a unique user identifier (ID) provided by Apple, along with the name and email address provided during the sign-in process, to uniquely identify you and provide the synchronization service. This data is used solely for user identification and account management. In accordance with Apple's privacy policy, if you choose to hide your email, a randomly generated private relay email address provided by Apple will be collected and used instead of your personal email address.
- Synchronization Data (When using Sign in with Apple): Note content (text, categories, settings, and image paths) required for real-time sync between your devices.
- Diagnostics and Usage Statistics (Starting with version 2.3.0): This is anonymous data collected through third-party analytics tools and cannot be used to identify any individual.
- Diagnostic and crash data: Error reports generated when the App terminates unexpectedly, device model, operating system version, and app version.
- Usage data: Screens viewed and in-app actions (e.g., creating, editing, or deleting a memo) recorded only as anonymous statistics (counts and yes/no values), without any raw content.
- Device and technical data: Language settings, and approximate region (country/city level) estimated from your IP address.
- Anonymous identifiers: Randomly generated identifiers used only to distinguish devices for statistical purposes.
The App does not collect any information outside of the stated sync and analytics purposes, such as your real phone number, precise location, or the advertising identifier (IDFA). For users who do not use Sign in with Apple, no note content is transmitted or stored on external servers.
3. Purpose of Collection
The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
- Providing real-time note synchronization and data management across devices for users signed in with Apple.
- Diagnosing the App's stability and troubleshooting technical errors or crashes.
- Improving features and usability by understanding anonymous usage patterns.
The collected information is never used for advertising purposes and is never sold or provided to third parties without user consent.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following services to provide the synchronization feature and analyze usage data. Each service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy, and the locations for data processing and storage are as follows:
